Natave works on growing fitter and quicker during this year’s Super Rugby Pacific season.
Natave told Fijivillage News that after last season, he had a taste of what it’s like to play in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific league, and he’s training harder this year.
He says he’s hoping to improve himself this year because there’s a lot of competition in the front rows, particularly among veteran players.
After four years in the Fiji Rugby Union High Performance Unit, the 24-year-old was not picked for the inaugural Fijian Drua team revealed in 2022, which was a significant setback.
.Natave adds that when he found out he was not picked for the Drua that year, it changed his viewpoint and attitude to training, and he determined to improve so he could make the squad last year. Natave made his Super Rugby Pacific debut against the New South Wales Waratahs last March.
The Drua will face the Blues in Auckland on the 24th of next month to begin their 2024 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific campaign.
