Ohio State football’s new safety coach is a Willoughby Hills local with Buckeye experience.
Ohio State football went to a reliable source to oversee a critical position group. On Wednesday, Matt Guerrieri was named the new safeties coach. The Willoughby Hills native and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin graduate replaces Perry Eliano, who was let go after two seasons.
Ohio State announced Guerrieri’s employment, saying he will have “additional duties to be assigned.” According to a source, he is a potential replacement for special teams coordinator Parker Fleming, who was fired.
