Palworld: 6 Incomprehensible Breeding Combinations
Palworld features a very sophisticated breeding mechanism for a game created by an incredibly small team of creators. Any male and female Pal in the game can be bred by players to create an egg that hatches into a brand-new Pal. Furthermore, thousands of possible breeding combinations can be created by this technique, taking into account the sheer number of distinct Pals available in the game. Even though a lot of these combinations make sense when you consider the Element Type, look, and abilities of both parents and their progeny, there are unavoidably a good number of breeding combinations in the game that defy common sense and produce quite bizarre results.
1: Swee + Chikipi = Foxparks
Ice Type + Neutral Type = Fire Type
Among the cutest Pals on Palworld are Swee and Chikipi. Whereas Swee is a white blob with unusual gray ears, Chikipi is merely a regular chicken. It is possible for players to anticipate that the progeny of these two Pals will have a similar gentle and companionable appearance. But Foxparks, the offspring, doesn’t resemble either of its parents at all.
Moreover, Foxparks is a Fire Type as well, which is especially perplexing given that Swee is an Ice Type and Chikipi is a Neutral Type. Considering how difficult it is to rationally explain these Pals’ progeny as Foxparks, it is best for players to ignore the possibility.
2: Anubis + Blazamut = Relaxaurus
Ground Type + Fire Type = Dragon & Water Type
Among the most lethal Pals in the game are Anubis and Blazamut. The latter essentially acts as Palworld’s king of volcanoes, while the former is modeled after the ancient Egyptian God of Death. Although some players may not find Anubis’ appearance particularly frightening, Blazamut has one of the most terrifying character designs in the game thanks to his massive, burning torso and fire horns.
Players would assume that something much more terrible would result from breeding these two Pals together. However, their offspring turns out to be a Relaxaurus, a Dragon and Water Type that is not only one of the largest Friends in the game but also one of the most adorable and cuddly.
3: Ragnahawk + Rooby = Foxcicle
Fire Type + Fire Type = Ice Type
A Foxcicle is the progeny of two Fire Type Pals, Ragnahawk and Rooby, crossed. This breeding combination makes a lot of sense at first glance. The way Foxcicle looks is very similar to its parents, especially when compared to Rooby. But when you consider Foxcicle’s Element Type, that’s where the true uncertainty lies.
Based only on the Element Type difference, Foxcicle is one of the oddest breeding pairings because it fully defies expectations and emerges as an Ice Type despite having two Fire Type parents.
4: Lifmunk + Bristla = Jolthog
Leaf Type + Leaf Type = Electric Type
Jolthog might not be as strong as its fellow Electric Types, but at the end of the day, it is still an Electric Type. Players would naturally presume that an Electric Type would have to be one of the parents when thinking about breeding a Jolthog. However, when players learn that they can breed Jolthog with Lifmunk and Bristla, two Leaf Type Pals in Palworld, they will be shocked.
Even though many breeding pairings make sense to players, it’s wiser to leave things as they are when it comes to an Electric Type like Jolthog being the child of two pure Leaf Types.
5: Kingpaca Cryst + Foxcicle = Incineram
Ice Type + Ice Type = Fire Type
Incineram is a formidable Fire Type Pal with an intimidating appearance. With its striking black and red color scheme, white fur around its neck, and two enormous horns above its head, this bipedal animal has an amazing design. Given these considerations, it’s astounding that two Ice Type Pals, Foxcicle and Kingpaca Cryst, may be used to breed Incineram.
Incineram’s Element Type is not only wholly at odds with that of its parents, but it also looks quite different. While Incineram appears to be the last creature players would want to get into close contact with, Foxcicle and Kingpaca Cryst appear to be amiable and accessible.
6: Flambelle + Rooby = Flopie
Fire Type + Fire Type = Grass Type
Flambelle and Rooby are only one of the strangest breeding combinations among the Fire Types in Palworld. Together, these two formidable Fire Type Pals create a Flopie. This combination doesn’t first appear all that strange; in fact, Flopie gets along rather well with its parents. Its color palette is the sole obvious distinction, but in the big picture, that’s really a small detail.
The element type is where the true surprise is, though, as it is with many other breeding combinations. Flopie differs entirely from its Fire Type parents in that it is a pure Grass Type. While there are many element types with which Fire is well-related, grass is undoubtedly not one of them.
