Nashville Predators vs Detroit Red Wings Prediction, Odds and Picks
Despite their severe struggles, the Red Wings are making their second trip back to their home arena since December 18. Can they find the win column with the luxury of home ice, or will the Predators give them another disappointing loss during this awful run?
In a Predators victory, I’m betting on the latter. The Central Division has been extremely close, with only nine points separating first and eighth place. Nashville, who are in the center of the pack, knows they have a genuine chance to sneak into the playoffs if they can maintain their strong run.
Nashville has a strong roster that includes a number of excellent players, but their chances of winning are mostly due to Detroit’s poor performance.
In the last five games, the Red Wings have allowed an absurd amount of goals (4.80 goals against average) and have fallen short against bottom-feeding teams in the NHL, including Anaheim (13-21-0), Ottawa (13-21-0), and San Jose (9-24-3).
This Red Wings club lacks confidence even with Patrick Kane, which has resulted in a fairly dismal record thus far. I don’t think they can beat any team till they get their act together. I’ll take the heavily experienced Predators squad on the road to do business.
