Las Vegas Raiders Sign 17 Undrafted Free Agents, Including Quarterback Carter Bradley
Despite speculation that the Raiders would be aggressive in drafting a quarterback early in the draft, they instead added Bradley to their quarterback room, which already includes Aidan O’Connell, Gardiner Minshew, and Anthony Brown Jr.
In terms of offensive signings, TCU offensive tackle Andrew Coker was also brought on board. Coker has impressed with strong performances against top college teams and had a standout game in the National Championship against Georgia in 2022.
On defense, the Raiders focused on adding depth and strength. They signed EDGE rusher Ron Stone Jr. from Washington State and safety Phalen Sanford from Nebraska – both known for their playmaking ability. They also added cornerbacks Ja’Quan Sheppard from Maryland and Rayshad Williams from Texas Tech, who possess raw talent and athleticism.
The Raiders further solidified their defense by signing linebacker Amari Gainer from North Carolina as well as defensive linemen Tomari Fox (North Carolina) and Noah Shannon (Iowa).
Despite addressing offensive needs during the draft by selecting Brock Bowers in the first round along with Jackson Powers-Johnson and DJ Glaze for their offensive line, it is evident that building increased depth throughout their defense was another priority for Las Vegas this offseason.
With these undrafted free agent signings, the Raiders hope to add more competition and potentially unearth some hidden gems who can contribute significantly to both sides of the ball. By consistently striving to strengthen their roster, the team aims to improve its overall performance and make a serious impact in future seasons. Only time will tell if these undrafted rookies can make an immediate impact or develop into key contributors down the line.
