Immanuel Quickley Leaves Raptors Due To Personal Issue
Immanuel Quickley does not have a projected comeback date.
Before the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, coach Darko Rajaković stated that the team’s guard is attending to a family problem. Rajaković stated, “We’ll keep in touch with him and take things day by day.”
Bruce Brown Jr., Jahmi’us Ramsey, and Javon Freeman-Liberty are the players Toronto intends to deploy to assist cover for Quickley in the point guard position. Jontay Porter and Kelly Olynyk should also contribute some playmaking to the post.
RJ Barrett has not been back to the squad since his younger brother Nathan passed away, therefore there is still no timeline for his comeback.
The Raptors intend to use this chance to examine a few of their depth players. In particular, Ramsey has shown himself to be a dedicated worker and someone Toronto has enjoyed having around thus far.
“He is a gym rat,” Rajaković remarked. “Today at 4:30 in the arena, we conducted a walkthrough. At 4 p.m., he was already on the court obtaining further shots. He therefore does a great deal of work. He’s posing insightful queries. He is a big movie watcher. He truly wants to make the most of this chance that he has.”
As Toronto provides backup for Ochai Agbaji, Jordan Nwora could see an increase in playing time off the bench.
