Joel Embiid’s full injury report for the Sixers’ road game against the Trail Blazers
On Monday, the Philadelphia 76ers will visit the Portland Trail Blazers in the Pacific Northwest as part of their ongoing road trip. Due to injuries, the Sixers have struggled to start the trip with a record of 0-2; on Monday, they will face more of the same.
Joel Embiid (left knee pain) was downgraded to out from doubtful before the beginning of the game. His scoring will be missed by the Sixers in their away game against the tenacious Blazers.
For the game against the Trail Blazers, Tyrese Maxey (left ankle injury) and Tobias Harris (illness) are both listed as doubtful. While Embiid and Maxey were absent from Saturday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets, Harris has missed the first two games of the road trip.
Robert Covington (bruised left knee bone) and De’Anthony Melton (lumbar spine stress reaction) are both still sidelined for the Blazers game.
The Sixers will depend once more on Patrick Beverley if Maxey is unable to play. He dominated the Nuggets, scoring 17 points and dishing out 11 assists. In Embiid’s absence, Reed will need to replicate his career-high 30-point effort from Saturday for the Sixers.
Tyrese Maxey will not play for the Sixers against the Trail Blazers.
The Philadelphia 76ers will be trying to end their five-game road trip with a win as they prepare to play the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
The Sixers have faced tremendous difficulty on this trip, going 0-2 in the process.
Injuries have plagued Philadelphia, as they will be without Joel Embiid on Monday for the second straight game because of a left knee problem. He has been battling the issue lately, and before the trip against the Indiana Pacers, he injured his knee.
Tyrese Maxey will not be playing for the Sixers officially either. Due to a left ankle strain, Maxey was classified as doubtful for the game against the Blazers; however, he will now miss it. He will have missed two games in a row with this one.
Regarding Tobias Harris, he was sick and missed the first two games of the tour. In this one, he’s expected back to provide Philadelphia with a little spark.
