Top of Pro Football Focus’ 2024 NFL Draft CB Rankings is Iowa’s Cooper DeJean.
DeJean’s draft ranking keeps rising ahead of the 2024 NFL draft, which takes place in Detroit, Michigan on April 25–27. The dynamic returner and standout cornerback is dominating draft boards and is a staple in the initial rounds of NFL mock selections.
Cooper DeJean’s skill has recently been praised by Pro Football Focus. DeJean is the only player ranked #1 among CBs for the 2024 NFL Draft by Connor Rogers of PFF
Three really gifted cornerbacks who are just behind DeJean may all hear their names called in the first round. Those are Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry from Alabama, as well as Nate Wiggins from Clemson.
As varied as his accolades are the unanimous 2023 All-American, Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year, and Big Ten Return Specialist of the Year. DeJean has the ability to shut down an entire side of the field, turn games around in the blink of an eye while returning punts with the ball in his hands, and—possibly—his greatest quality is his exceptional grasp of situational plays and punt downs.
