But a key player is out with an injury, so they won’t be able to rely on him. It was reported on Saturday by CBS Sports Lead NFL Insider Jonathan Jones that wide receiver A.J. Brown would not play in Monday’s game against the Buccaneers because of his strained knee.
Brown was out for Thursday and Friday practices after suffering a knee injury in the regular season finale against the New York Giants. It was Brown’s goal to return this week after a rigorous rehabilitation program, according to ESPN, but he isn’t yet fit enough to play. If the Eagles overcome the Buccaneers, Brown might return for the divisional round.
After a career-high 106 catches for the Eagles, Brown topped the team in receiving yards with 1,456 and seven touchdowns. The NFL placed him fifth with 1,456 receiving yards. Brown got out to a blazing start with six receiving touchdowns in the first nine games of the season, but has visited the end zone just once over the following eight matchups.

While Brown will miss Monday, anticipate wide receiver DeVonta Smith to make his return to the game after missing Week 18 with an ankle injury. Both Thursday and Friday, he gave it his all during practice.
