“All of our opponents going forward will watch that film, which is bad.” I believe the boys really got into it. It has meaning for them, which is good. I’m confident they’ll recover.”
Lawrence’s first multi-interception game of the season came against the 49ers, who had been intercepted six times while tossing nine touchdowns through nine games. This season, he has completed 67.3 percent of his throws for 2,120 yards.
Lawrence stated Wednesday that he will continue to wear a brace on his left knee, but his mobility is improving after suffering the injury in the Jaguars’ Oct. 15 win against the Colts.
“I’m starting to feel comfortable and I’m happy about the progress I’ve made,” he remarked. “We’ve been able to keep it safe over the last few weeks.” I’m looking forward to, hopefully, actually getting started and just playing normal, moving around, and all that stuff.”
The Titans (3-6) have dropped two straight games, falling to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road.
Tennessee’s running game struggled against Tampa Bay on Sunday, with Derrick Henry and Tyjae Spears combining for only 42 yards. In his third start, rookie Will Levis completed only 19 of 39 passes for 199 yards and an interception.
“We know how important (division) games are,” Levis stated before of Sunday’s game against the Jaguars. “Obviously, every game is going to be a bloodbath, but it just seems like, for those division games, you have to step up and bring your best to the table or you’re going to get kicked in the mouth.”
The Titans appear to be getting healthier ahead of their season opener against the Jaguars. On Wednesday, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting (hand) and offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill (ankle) both returned to practice. Treylon Burks and offensive lineman Andre Dillard were both held out of practice this week due to concussions.
Wideout Jamal Agnew (shoulder, ribs) and cornerback Tyson Campbell (hamstring) did not practice for the Jaguars on Wednesday. Wide receiver Zay Jones, who was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic assault complaint on Monday, took part in a limited practice on Wednesday. It’s unknown whether Jones will attend.
