Oregon coach Dan Lanning responds to fears about accepting a job in Alabama and reiterates his dedication to Oregon in a statement on Alabama.
As shown in the video that Lanning posted below, he has once again reaffirmed his commitment to Oregon and stated that he has no intention of leaving the Ducks to take Nick Saban’s position as head coach of Alabama.
Lanning, who turns 38 in the spring, has taken Oregon by storm and is quickly emerging as one of the most popular names in college football. Lanning is 22-5 overall, 15-3 in conference play, 8-5 versus Top 25 opponents, and has won Holiday Bowl and Fiesta Bowl games in his two seasons with the Ducks.
Lanning clarified his position when questioned about why he’s dedicated for the long term just three weeks before to the Fiesta Bowl matchup.
“I had a chance to start there in Oregon that no one else offered me. They noticed something about me that perhaps others missed. Beyond that, this location offered me the chance to execute a few things that gave me confidence that I could achieve all of my objectives,” Lanning remarked.

“I don’t take it lightly in my opinion, and I feel like I still have business here. Here is where I want to get a lot done. Then, my children, perhaps above all of that, don’t they?
