After missing a few weeks of action to begin the offseason, the Boston Red Sox are back in the game. Craig Breslow, the chief baseball officer of the Red Sox, has made his first deal since taking over, and it seems to be a success.
The Seattle Times’ Ryan Divish stated on Friday that “(Seattle) Mariners are sending right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell to the Red Sox in exchange for infielder Luis Urías.” When Campbell made his major league debut in July, he was ready for the challenge. In 28 2/3 innings, he finished 4-1 with a 2.83 ERA, 33 to 13 strikeout to walk ratio,.210 batting average against, and 1.22 WHIP.
