Top prospects schedule spring visits to Ohio State, Texas, and other programs.
Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett, two of the top five wide receivers in the 2025 class, secured spring trips, while highly anticipated edge rusher Nasir Wyatt and productive running back Bo Jackson secured a few of their own.
On The College Football Recruiting Show, recruiting analyst Blair Angulo discussed each of those four prospects, their qualities, and the most recent information regarding their decision-making procedures. Ohio State, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, and other prestigious teams are among the universities taking part in the search for those playmakers.
Official Visits: Penn State (March 16), Tennessee (March 23), Ohio State (March 30), Georgia (April 6), Rutgers (April 20)
Top247 running back Bo Jackson, who jumped more than 100 spots in the recruiting rankings midway through his junior year at Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela-St. Joseph, is clearly compared to a particular former two-sport standout. He also plays strong safety and outside linebacker on the defensive end of the ball because of his large stature.
In addition to the schools he is scheduled to visit, Jackson has offers from other elite universities in the country, including Michigan, Oregon, Notre Dame, and others.
Angulo: “The Ohio State Buckeyes are the talk of the town at this point in the process. They don’t call our insider Bill Kurelic “the dean of recruiting” for nothing—he recently submitted a Crystal Ball Prediction for Ohio State. I believe Ryan Day has a good chance of keeping the talented playmaker in the state.
Official Visits: Texas (April 6), Texas A&M (April 20)
Although Kaliq Lockett scheduled two in-state visits, Ohio State, Michigan, and LSU are also top choices for him. The second-ranked receiver prospect in the 2025 class, Sachse (Texas) High product, has a ton of options from strong league schools. He is the best receiver currently available, and Dakorien Moore has committed to LSU.
Lockett has exceptional instincts and quickness, and his 6-foot-2 stature and 6-foot-7 wingspan round out his outstanding physical attributes. He appears to be a major contributor to a top program.
Angulo: “The Longhorns and the Aggies both need to get him. a strange wide receiver who produced a ton last season. As a junior, he amassed around 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns. That is 59 catches at a distance of 22 yards per reception. This offseason, I had the opportunity to watch Lockett play 7-on-7 with California Power, and he is a walking highlight reel.
