During a news conference, Tyrese Haliburton called Buddy Hield merely to boast about his dunking.
This was one of Stathead’s few multiple-dunk games in his professional career and his first dunk in about a month, according to Stathead. He knew he needed to talk to some of his fiercest critics after he scored multiple dunks in the Pacers’ decisive victory over the Nets on Monday night.
He immediately considered alerting his longtime teammate, Buddy Hield. Before being moved to the Pacers, Haliburton and Hield were teammates for the Kings. For the first time this season, Hield and the 76ers are on different NBA teams—he was dealt to them during the trade deadline.
Even yet, Haliburton’s initial impulse was to call Hield to congratulate him on his multiple dunks on Monday, demonstrating their tight connection even now. Haliburton’s teammate and former NBA dunk contest winner, Obi Toppin, was far less enthusiastic.
On the bench, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Hawks coach Quin Snyder got into a heated, violent argument.
Head coach Quin Snyder and veteran Bogdan Bogdanovic had a rough night, even though the Atlanta Hawks won. The two players got into a violent argument on the bench even though they had a sizable lead late in the fourth. After he upset the referee by spilling a water bottle, Bogdanovic walked up to his coach, visibly upset.
Bogdanovic then went up against Snyder, obviously upset about something. Before his teammates intervened and broke up the altercation, he pointed to himself and said something. After Atlanta’s convincing victory, the atmosphere was overall upbeat.
When questioned about the contentious conversation, Snyder said that everything was OK. Snyder made these statements at his press conference:
“Bogi was excellent. And I’m in a great position with him. superior to good. Fantastic. I also enjoy his playing style. Furthermore, he is defending, which makes him proud.”
Additionally, Bogdanovic said that there were no problems between the two. The Atlanta wing said that everything was “normal” and that the intensity just meant that people cared about each other. He said that although it was regrettable that the event was publicized, it was better than keeping it a secret.
