After defeating the San Jose Sharks in overtime, the Anaheim Ducks advanced to the All-Star break.
Anthony Duclair and Marc-Edouard Vlasic had given the Sharks a 2-1 lead. First period action saw Duclair score on a power play, while second period play saw Vlasic score the game-winning goal.
At 2:12 in the game, Anaheim took a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal by Ducks forward Isaac Lundestrom. With just over a minute left in regulation time, Troy Terry tied the game, playing a key part in the comeback. After that, he helped Vatrano win in overtime.
The Ducks have now won three of their previous four games and have a four-game point streak. The Sharks, who had emerged victorious from their previous five games, will take a longer vacation before playing the Winnipeg Jets again on February 14. The Ducks’ next game is scheduled for February 9 at home versus the Edmonton Oilers.
