Key Raptors player out for Tuesday’s game against the Lakers due to injury
In their matchup with the diminished Raptors, the Lakers will try to return to.500.
Raptors team writer Josh Lewenberg reports that Jakob Poeltl, the club’s starting big man, won’t be available.
“Due to a left ankle strain, Jacob Poeltl will not play against the Lakers tomorrow. He rolled it on Siakam’s foot during the game last night while he was chasing a lost ball. seemed very awful, but he persevered.”
Poeltl’s injured ankle, which occurred during their victory against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, prevents him from playing. In only 31 minutes, the Raptors’ big man scored 14 points on 75% shooting, pulled down 11 rebounds, and disheveled five assists.
This season, he is averaging 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists for the Raptors. For the Lakers and their superstar center, Anthony Davis, in particular, this is a tremendous advantage. With their big guy gone, Davis ought to unleash his beastly side on the dinosaurs, and this ought to be grilled chicken.
