Important Update on Pascal Siakam’s Trade Amid Interest in Warriors
The Toronto Raptors’ Pascal Siakam has been linked to the Golden State Warriors on a number of occasions. However, a recent report from Shams Charania of The Athletic stated that the Indiana Pacers and Toronto are in talks about a potential trade.
“The Raptors and Pacers are actively engaged in trade talks centered around two-time All-Star forward Pascal Siakam that would send him to Indiana for a package that includes Bruce Brown Jr., other salaries and three first-round draft picks, league sources tell The Athletic,” Charania stated.
“The Kings had been among other suitors for Siakam, but decided to pull out of conversations in recent weeks, league sources say,” Charania continued, confirming that the Warriors had shown some interest. Siakam’s known opposition to the idea of re-signing in Sacramento adds to the difficulty of a Kings trade. League sources also state that the Mavericks and Warriors have shown some exploratory interest in Siakam.”
Siakam may not be moving to Indiana for sure, but there appears to be significant momentum toward a potential trade between the Pacers and Raptors. The Warriors would therefore be without one of their purported trade targets and would have to change course in order to be active by the deadline.
