An Ohio native who played in other Big Ten cities is in Columbus for spring practices to give the program a new perspective. Tank Booker, an interior defensive lineman who played for four years in College Park and stands six feet four and weighs three hundred pounds, left the Terps on March 6. Soon after, he made a visit to Arkansas, and it seems that the Buckeyes are once again considering him.
During his time as a prep student at Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods High School, Booker was selected for the second team of the All-State team and won the Enquirer Division II Defensive Player of the Year award as a senior. He recorded a career-high six tackles against SMU last year while playing for Maryland. A week later, he also forced two fumbles and picked up a sack against Michigan.
