For the men’s Fiji Rugby Deaf, gold
The men’s squad was undefeated, having previously defeated NSW and the Barbarians.They deservedly took home the gold medal for their outstanding effort; New South Wales had to settle for the silver, while the Barbarians took home the bronze.
On the women’s side, the Fiji Rugby Deaf Women’s team won gold, matching the accomplishments of their male counterparts.Their unblemished record, which included three straight wins over the NSW Barbarians, cemented their podium spot.
The silver was retrieved by the Barbarians in turn.Other results showed that Mosese Tuiloruma settled for bronze in the men’s 100-meter relay, while Petero Sanele took home the silver.
Nasoni Nawanawailagi won the silver in the men’s 200-meter race, while Petereo Navunisousou took home the bronze.In the men’s shot put, Fiji demonstrated their superiority, as Kevin Rawosa won gold and Phillip Wing took home silver.
In the Discuss competition, Rawosa and Wing both won gold and silver, respectively, continuing their winning streak.Tuiloruma had to settle for bronze in the long jump competition, while Nawanawailaga and Navunisousou added further medals to Fiji’s collection with gold and silver.
In the women’s division, Koleta Dravuni showed incredible skill by taking home two silver medals in the 200- and 100-meter races.Her medal in the women’s long jump further enhanced Fiji’s outstanding multi-event achievement.This Sunday is the last day of the Australia Deaf Games.
