Slugger who won the World Series is reportedly of great interest to the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly very interested in acquiring free agent slugger Joc Pederson as they look to address their designated hitter dilemma this winter.
Ben Nicholson-Smith, a Jays Insider, claims:
“Sources in the business claim that the Blue Jays, who are in dire need of offense right now in the off-season, are seriously considering signing Joc Pederson. The Blue Jays are thought to be competing with other win-now teams, such as the Diamondbacks, Angels, and Giants, in the outfield/DH market, despite the fact that interest has increased recently. Depending on where their chase of (Cody) Bellinger goes, the Cubs might be Pederson’s next suitor.”
To start with, it makes sense to pursue Pederson. In order to maintain lineup balance and to replace Brandon Belt, who is currently a free agent, the organization is trying to sign a left-handed hitter. Before Shohei Ohtani signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Jays were strongly linked to him, and there have also been rumors of interest in Bellinger.
Although we have personally supported the signing of Joey Votto by the Jays, Pederson’s signing would provide Toronto with the left-handed hitting and power it so desperately needs.
The 31-year-old Pederson played for the Dodgers, Cubs, Braves, and Giants during his ten years in the major leagues. He has been an All-Star twice in his career and won World Series championships with the 2020 Dodgers and the 2021 Braves.
He is a.237 hitter with 186 home runs and 485 RBI in his career. In 2015, he hit 26 home runs, and in 2019, he drove in 74 runs, making both seasons his most productive.
